Gwendolyn Anello was recently appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Accelerator Think Tank, an initiative critical in assisting Governor Crist and his team with the development of workforce policy in Florida as part of his Accelerate Florida Initiative. The Think Tank program was developed to bring some of the best and brightest minds in the state together on a voluntary basis to identify and develop solutions for short-term relief and long-term economic prosperity. The group comprised of industry leaders and agency heads throughout the state recently attended a full-day session at the Capitol to develop ideas for both short and long term outcomes. The group was charged with discussing and recommending innovative ways that state government can have a positive impact on our economy in Florida through workforce focused strategies.

Bonnier Corporation, a Winter Park, Florida-based subsidiary of The Bonnier Group has contracted with Anello Consulting to assist in building out multiple web properties based on major U.S.-based magazines.

Bonnier Corporation publishes magazines such as "Field & Stream", "Outdoor Life", "Parenting", "Popular Science", "SKI", and "Yachting" and is in the process of migrating several of its web properties to Drupal-based sites. Drupal is one of the premier open-source content managment systems available, and is used by sites such as Amnesty International, Sony BMG Music, and various AOL and Yahoo! properties, among others.

Petentials.com, a leading social-networking sites for pets and their owners recently contracted with Michael Anello to assist in their effort to update their web site. Michael was hired to assist in migrating the site to a more recent version of the Drupal content management system as well as to provide enhancements that will allow the site to more easily utilize additional features of Drupal.

Petentials, Inc. is an Orlando-based company founded by sociologist/filmmaker, Darren McDaniel, and his merry-banded co-directors: Kia and Michael Misowitz.

Ozmosis.com, an online medical knowledge exchange exclusively for physicians, has worked closely with Anello Consulting, an expert in Drupal CMS development to add several new features to its web site as well as to assist in migrating the site to a current version of the Drupal content management system.

GossamerWind.com, a web site for information about Gossamer Wind® series ceiling fans is now live. Compared to conventional ceiling fans, they consume approximately half the energy in operation, saving an estimated $20 per year in electricity costs while providing more efficient lighting and superior air flow.

The new web site aims to provide information about the fans, particularly for models that aren't readily available in retail stores. To date, more than a million Gossamer Wind ceiling fans have been purchased across the country (mainly Lowe's and Home Depot retail stores), saving consumers more than $10 million annually.

Anello Consulting built the site using the Drupal open source content managment system. The site features various search engine optimizations to ensure the site is easy to find using popular search engines.
